Vital Health® Magazine

Vital Health® magazine is mailed to each membership of National Pharmacies 4 times per year on a seasonal basis.

Through Vital Health we aim to position National Pharmacies as an authoritative destination for health and wellbeing solutions. The magazine is one of the benefits of being a National Pharmacies member and must therefore provide value to members.


Vital Health allows us to bring product-based solutions on relevant health and wellbeing issues to our members. The magazine allows for us to provide a greater amount of information on the products depicted than other communication channels and has a longer shelf life.

 

· 4 x 40 page full colour published magazines (Autumn, Winter, Spring & Summer)
· Product depictions
· Full Page Advertisements
· Half Page Advertisements (Horizontal)
· One Third Page Advertisements (Vertical & Horizontal)
· More focus on each product depiction
· Mailed to over 150,000 households - over 300,000 members
· On shelf ticketing (normal location) - "As seen in Vital Health" to draw customers to the category if product has been price reduced.
· Off location space can be purchased through booking an Instore promotion that coincides with the magazine promotion period.


Vital Health® Onserts

Onserts within Vital Health® provide an opportunity to target promotional communications to members who have a higher propensity to purchase.

 
Costs
Set Up:
Set up fee per data file.
Number of data files required confirmed by National Pharmacies after booking.
Selection and Insertion:
Rate per '000 for total coverage (150,000 memberships)
Or
Per '000 for targeting by selection criteria*
Mailing:
Varies depending on total number of onserts
Final costing will be provided with confirmation of booking.

Minimum Onserts
A minimum number of 2,000 onserts must be booked.

- Age
- Gender
- State/Postcode
- Recency of last purchase
- Purchase history

Guidelines
- Minimum paper stock to be used is 100gsm
- Size - Minimum 210mm x 99mm / Maximum 275mm x 225mm
- Folds - Onsert must have a clean edge i.e. not folded in "Z" or concertina style, instead must have a 'role fold'.
- Complete onsert cannot weigh more than 15 grams (under certain circumstances weight limit may be extended)
- Onserts must provide some sort of exclusive offer/value to our members.
   
Sample of onsert artwork must be provided to National Pharmacies for approval prior to delivery.
 
CHRISTMAS CATALOGUE
The National Pharmacies Christmas Catalogue is distributed direct to members and reflects what members generally expect to find in our stores at this time of year. Many members use the Christmas promotion as a way to make Christmas shopping easier and boost their member value with different products. Many people also buy products from this catalogue for their own use; a little reward to help them through the festive season.

Mass Consumer Marketing

Seasonal Catalogues
National Pharmacies' catalogues are distributed 4 times per year to the general public around all National Pharmacies stores in South Australia and New South Wales. The catalogue consist of four categories; Back to School, Mother's Day, Winter Health and Spring Beauty. Through the catalogue we aim to build awareness of the extensive range of products and services on offer at National Pharmacies.

· 2 x 8 page full colour catalogues (Back to School and Winter Health)
· 2 x 12 page full colour catalogues (Mother's Day and Spring Beauty)
· Off location space can be purchased through booking an Instore promotion that coincides with the catalogue promotion period
· 275,000 catalogues per issue are distributed to households via letterbox drop
· Submissions to include strong consumer value offers (discuss with Category Manager or Buyer)
· On shelf ticketing (normal location)

Value Ad

National Pharmacies' seasonal catalogues are supported by local radio and local press ads.

Instore Promotions

Instore promotions run throughout the year coinciding with magazine and catalogue promotions.

Opportunities include Gondola Ends, Floor Stands and Counter Units.


TPRs (Temporary Price Reductions)
· TPR promotions will coincide with magazine, catalogue and instore promotions.
· Rate per TPR
· On shelf (normal location) price reduction ticketing
· Submissions to include strong consumer value offers (discuss with Category Manager or Buyer)


Currently Under Development
National Pharmacies are currently in the process of developing E-mail marketing as a tool to reach more consumers with great offers.
