Range Reviews

At National Pharmacies we use the principles of Category Management to manage the merchandise assortments within our retail business. This approach allows us to understand the categories in which we operate in and measure their performance and contribution to our business. It also provides a platform upon which we can assess external markets, new opportunities and gain a greater understanding of consumers within any market.

When submitting new ranges or products please be aware that the following information should be included in your submission.

New suppliers

·Company structure (including field support)
·Strategic direction of merchandise offering

Existing suppliers
·New product development
·Existing product updates
·Market shares of all brands (national and state based)
·Promotional plans

All suppliers
·Product category environment, market trends and consumer research and understanding
·Category value and growth/decline data
·Target market of new range
·Proposed distribution channels
·Advertising and media schedules
·Competitor price surveys
·Training of pharmacy teams
