Meet the Royal Family

Queen Mandy Belfrage

Work Health & Safety Officer

Like many of us, as a child Mandy dreamed of being a Princess and maybe even one day a Queen. When the call went out to National Pharmacies employees for a position in the Royal Family, Mandy decided to apply in the hope she could spread the joy and magic she felt as a child standing behind the blue honour line.

A bit of a trickster, Mandy told her son and husband that she had been unsuccessful in securing the role of ‘Queen’. We have to give her husband points for his response “You’re still a queen to me”. After seeing the announcement on Channel 9 News, Mandy’s son was so excited that Mum would be able to put in a good word with Father Christmas.

King Robert Farrier

Ethical Buying Manager & Pharmacist

Ethical Buying Manager, Pharmacist, Army Reservist and now King… there’s not much Rob can’t do. We do have to question his choice in Christmas movies though as we’re not sure “Die Hard” qualifies! With fond memories of the Pageant as a child, Rob wants to make sure the magic and innocence of youth is maintained this Christmas. Rob is interested to see how the twilight Pageant plays out this year, expecting a slightly different atmosphere but one that is incredibly special.

“While the National Pharmacies Christmas pageant will
be different to what we’re used to, the fact we are able
to continue symbolises the resilience of our community
and regeneration.”

Princess Megan Smith

Pharmacy Operations Manager

Last year, Megan had the important role of escorting the Father Christmas float to Town Hall. As a self proclaimed Pageant & Christmas tragic, this was a dream come true for Megan.

“The only thing that might top being on the Father Christmas float, apart from a spot on Nipper and Nimble, is being a Royal Family member”.

As the Pharmacy Operations Manager at Victor Harbor, Megan is surrounded by a supportive group who are just
as Christmas crazy as she is. In fact, a visit to the National Pharmacies Victor Harbor store will be greeted by a smiling team decked out in Christmas themed outfits. And while the Bruto Pyjamas aren’t available in adult sizes this year
(sorry Megan!), she is extremely excited to wear her gorgeous new Princess dress designed by SA’s own Cristina Tridente…although we’re not sure if you can wear that in store?

Prince Kevin Laguyan

Pharmacist in Charge

A 2019 participant, Kevin is no stranger to the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant, however, this time things will be a little different. From a clown to a Prince in the Royal Family, Kevin is hoping he can bring a little bit more of his
‘clown’ energy to the group. This year he is looking forward to being on a float and absorbing the incredible energy and excitement felt by the crowd and those watching at home.

“With the year we’ve had, including the bushfires, we just need a little pick me up, a little more fun, a little more joy. I’m so glad we can still give that to the community”

As the Pharmacist in Charge at Semaphore, Kevin loves building connections with his customers who are very excited to see him representing National Pharmacies and the community on November 14.

Prince Mason Manuel

Pharmacist

Christmas is in Prince Mason’s blood. As a country boy, Mason loved watching the Christmas Pageant on TV. In fact, he loved Christmas so much his grandfather signed up to work for the man in red as a shopping centre Father Christmas (Father Christmas can’t be everywhere of course). Mason remembers the incredible joy and excitement this brought him every year and wants to spread that joy to the children of South Australia, and what better way than as a member of the Royal Family.

But as a bit of an added bonus…he’s really hoping to sneak a footy onto the field at Adelaide Oval and kick a goal as a Prince! We can’t really blame him.

Princess Sophie Capoccia

Pharmacy Assistant

Never one to miss a Pageant, Sophie will be attending this year’s event in style (and we’re not just talking about her dress!). Now a Royal Family Princess, Sophie has dreamed of being a part of something so magical and bringing joy to the community for a long time and this year will be more important than ever.

“Everything will be different this year, it truly will be a once in a lifetime experience – being in the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant is exciting enough, but now it is so important and I strongly believe that this Pageant will be truly magical”.
