    Product Description:

    Helps replace water and electrolytes lost due to vomiting, diarrhoea, heavy sweating, vigorous exercise and excess alcohol consumption.

    When to start taking Hydralyte; Hydralyte may be taken on the first signs of fluid loss due to vomiting and diarrhoea. Hydralyte may also be taken to help manage dehydration caused by heavy sweating, vigorous exercise, excess alcohol consumption, or due to a hot or dry environment.

    Signs of mild dehydration; Sticky or dry mouth, increased thirst, lethargy, decreased urine output, dark yellow urine.

    Suitable for use during pregnancy.

    Directions:

    Recommended dosage for dehydration due to vomiting and diarrhoea
    Under 12 months, 100mL every 90 mins, Max. dosage per day:
    1000mL.
    1-3 years, Recommended dosage: 100mL every 90 mins, Max. dosage per day: 1400mL.
    3-6 years, Recommended dosage: 100mL every 60 mins, Max. dosage per day: 2000mL.
    6-12 years, Recommended dosage: 100mL every 30 mins, Max. dosage per day: 2600mL.
    12- Adult, Recommended dosage: 200mL every 30 mins, Max. dosage per day: 4000mL.

    Warnings:

    Do not dilute. Sip slowly. Refrigerate after opening and discard after 1 month. If signs of dehydration persist, consult your healthcare professional.

    Seek medical advice if vomiting or diarrhoea persists for more than: – 6 hours in infants under 6 months. – 12 hours in children 6 months – 3 years. – 24 hours in children aged 3 – 6 years. – 48 hours in children over 6 years and adults.

    Be aware that Dehydration due to vomiting or diarrhoea can be dangerous in babies and children under 5 years old and in elderly people.

    Important Information: Electrolytes and Glucose per litre: Sodium: 45 mmol/L. Potassium: 20 mmol/L. Chloride: 45 mmol/L. Citrate: 30 mmol/L. Glucose: 80 mmol/L.
