Zostrix .075% Topical Analgesic Cream 45g

Product Description:

Zostrix HP Cream works by reducing levels of chemical ( substance P), which is involved in transmitting pain impulses to the brain. Regular application of Zostrix HP cream reduces the amount of this chemical in nearby nerve endings and thus decreases the intensity of the pain.

Directions:

Apply a small amount of Zostrix Cream to the affected area 3-4 times per day, not more than every 4 hours. After applying Zostrix Cream, hands should be washed thoroughly. Do not apply Zostrix Cream near eyes. Avoid taking a hot bath or shower directly before or after application with Zostrix Cream.

Ingredients:

Zostrix HP Cream contains: Capsaicin USP 0.075% w/w.

Warnings:

Do not apply Zostrix Cream to broken or irritated skin. Zostrix Cream is not suitable for children. The safety of use of Zostrix Cream in pregnancy or breastfeeding has not been established.
Reactions Zostrix Cream may cause a brief burning feeling when applied. This burning is more common when Zostrix Cream is used less than 3 – 4 times a day or too much Zostrix Cream is used or if Zostrix Cream is applied just before or after a bath or shower.

Patients should avoid taking a hot bath/shower just before or after applying Zostrix, as it can enhance the burning sensation. Keep away from eyes. If condition worsens, seek medical advice. Tight bandages should not be applied on top of Zostrix cream.
