Naturopathy

Naturopathy is an alternate healthcare approach that promotes the body’s own self-healing mechanism. It uses natural therapies such as nutrition, herbal medicine, acupuncture, homeopathy, hydrotherapy and exercise, plus many more that follow naturopathic principles.

Craig Wainwright

Craig is both a qualified Naturopath and Pharmacist practicing Naturopathy since 2007. Craig became a pharmacist in 1989 and his passion for helping people with their health quickly developed into an interest in complementary medicine and a strong focus on healing the person, not just their disease.

He’s particularly interested in complex health conditions, as Craig believes that there is an enormous scope for Naturopathic medicine to provide powerful antidotes to many hard-to-treat diseases. Being a pharmacist has enabled him to safely navigate the complex world of treating difficult conditions where multiple medications are being used.

Natalie Hickey

Natalie is an experienced Naturopath in her field, having studied Nutritional Medicine and becoming a Nutritionist in 2008, then furthering her studies in Naturopathy in 2017. She is a keen researcher, educator and loves to dive into your blood test results (interpreting them a little differently to what you may have experienced).

Natalie takes a whole-body approach to healing, taking an in-depth case history and evaluating mental, emotional and physical symptoms. She then designs a treatment plan that empowers her clients to use tools such as food as medicine, herbal medicines, lifestyle recommendations to enable her clients to gain insight into how their body works and getting to the root cause of their symptoms.

Treatments are usually tailored to individuals needs including:

  • Women’s health: Hormonal imbalances, PMS, PMDD, PCOS, endometriosis, menstrual irregularities and reoccurring low iron levels/anemia.
  • Metabolic health: Weight management, diabetes, cholesterol and hypertension
  • Skin health: acne & eczema
  • Mental Health: Anxiety, post-natal depression/depletion and depression
  • Thyroid health: hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, Hashimoto’s and Grave’s disease,

Joanna Hill

Jo completed her Bachelor of Health Science and Advanced Diploma in Naturopathy in 2006 qualifying her as a Naturopath with skills in Herbal Medicine and Nutrition. She has since completed further studies in Iridology and Flower Essences which are areas of particular interest for her. Jo’s philosophy is to keep her treatments simple and easy to follow. She uses a holistic approach, taking into consideration mental and emotional patterns as well as physical symptoms. As part of National Pharmacies, Jo will also work closely with our pharmacists to ensure that your naturopathy treatment supports any medication that you may be taking.

Lara Tilley

Lara completed her Bachelor of Health Science degree in Naturopathy at Endeavor College of Natural Health in 2020. She went on to complete further studies in chronic condition management at Flinders University.

Lara has always been interested in health and the use of diet and lifestyle as preventative medicine to prevent chronic disease. She learnt how natural herbs could be used as medicine to heal the body. This is where her passion grew which lead her down the track of naturopathy – ultimately holistic health and getting down to the root cause of disease and helping to prevent chronic disease in the long term. Lara is interested in women’s health including hormones, reproductive health, and gastrointestinal health.

Lara believes in a balanced health approach and is welcoming of combining naturopathy medicine to compliment conventional medicine. If you are on medication, Lara is conscious of this and provides a well-rounded balanced approach. Lara also offers compounding for a more individualised approach to your prescription, as well as integrative pathology testing to investigate the root cause of your complaints.

Belinda Symons

Belinda is a nature-loving mum who, years ago, became ill with an infection, whilst living overseas. Fortuitously, this led her to study natural health and in 2021 Belinda graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy). She now helps others stimulate their body’s self-healing capability to prevent illness and holistically enhance wellness. With a zest for learning, Belinda enjoys chatting in-depth with clients at their initial consultation to uncover underlying causes of illness.

To ensure treatments are safe for medically-managed conditions, Belinda communicates closely with the pharmacist team. Her recommendations are individualised for each client and often incorporate herbal medicine alongside nutrition, mineral therapy, flower essences, naturopathic hydrotherapy and gradual lifestyle adaptations.
